ABOUT DINA
Dina Dragija
Dina Dragija is a Cross-Sector Partnerships Strategist working between the private, public, scientific, and cultural sectors at the intersection of sustainability and human security, aligning partner initiatives with ESG frameworks and the UN Agenda 2030.
She specializes in designing and implementing cross-sector collaboration models within European and international institutional environments, focusing on aligning political mandates, regulatory frameworks, and strategic priorities into coherent partnerships capable of delivering long-term, measurable impact.
Her work is grounded in one core principle: today’s global challenges cannot be solved within sectoral silos. Effective solutions require structured cooperation between public institutions, the private sector, academia, and civil society — designed with strategic clarity, operational structure, and accountable governance.
Dina holds a Master of Science in Anthropology of International Security (Politics, Violence and Crime) from University College London, a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, and completed Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard Business School. Her academic background informs her structured approach to complex governance systems, human security, and sustainable development.
She is an Associate Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), an organization founded in 1960 by leading scientists and intellectuals including J. Robert Oppenheimer and Albert Einstein, with special consultative status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. Dina previously served as a Junior Fellow and now contributes to policy-oriented and cross-sector initiatives connecting science, policy, and society.
Dina is Founder and President of the Youth Leadership Network (YLN), an international organization promoting youth involvement in global decision-making processes, with a particular focus on sustainability and the UN Agenda 2030. Through YLN, she develops institutional models that enable young leaders to participate in policy dialogue in a structured and meaningful way.
She served as Partnership Manager and Ambassador for the “Human Security For All” campaign, a joint initiative of the UN Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS) and the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), designing and managing strategic partnerships that support global cooperation on human security–centered solutions.
Dina acts as National Coordinator for the Stop Ecocide Initiative in Croatia, advocating for the criminalization of mass destruction of nature and the recognition of ecocide as an international crime before the International Court of Justice.
She is Co-founder and Head of Strategic Partnerships of UNWASTED Forum, a multisector international platform connecting public institutions, private sector leaders, scientists, and creative industries to develop concrete sustainability projects and cross-border collaborations.
Acts as a regional Oppenheimer Porject coordinator within an international project focused on nuclear energy and technological innovation. Her work included connecting scientific, political, and industrial stakeholders, as well as developing collaborative models that take into account regulatory and security frameworks for energy transition in the region.
Alongside her institutional work, Dina operates in sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation. She is the Founder and Owner of DDetox Company, a detox juice brand promoting healthy and sustainable living, and serves as the official distributor for Fine Fruits Açaí frozen 100% fruit products for the Croatian market.
Dina has invested in and contributed to NutriDinamik – Sustainable Food from Waste, a research-driven initiative focused on developing alternative food products from recycled fruit and vegetable waste, advancing sustainability and innovation in the food industry.
Her work in industrial design and circular innovation includes the creation of sustainable product concepts, such as an innovative gum recycling stand recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
She also advises the sustainable fashion brand Krie Design on sustainability-driven projects and collaborates on the development of eco-friendly fashion collections using circular and low-impact materials.
